I thought it was really funny. However, there was not much of a plot and the crude joke ratio was rather high. If you're a fan of the first two films, then you must see it, you will laugh your ass off. But if you didnt like the first two films, then you will definitely not like this one.

I am a huge Austin Powers fan (have been since IMOM's release on VHS) and I will see the movie....today...at some point...

I really hope I like this one. I mean, everytime Beyonce says "I'm a whole lotta woman, ShaZaAaAm!" It cracks me up. And, plus, Michael Caine is awesome. And the clothing. I dressed up as Austin Powers sophomore year of High School for Halloween with an authentic old-style suit.

it was pretty funny. not as funny as the first 2, but it def. had its moments. the mole jokes were my favorite.

I just got back from seeing it about 15 minutes ago and I thought it was bloody hilarious. Of course, not as good as the first one and just under the second in terms of greatness, but still great. I thought Beyonce could have been used more but Goldmember the character was hilarious.

And if there was a store that sold only the clothes in Austin Powers, it would rule me (© stephanie). So many cool ascots. So many polka dots. Michael Caine was stupendous as well...and there were many jokes that reminded me of Smyrna.

Overall, if you liked the first two Austin Powers, go see Goldmember. I wasn't disappointed.

I think the scab humor was wonderful and off the wall. Very zany!!!

I just saw it for the second time yesterday, and I must say that Mini Me is fucking hillarious. He cracked me up more than anyone in the mooovie.

I liked the movie quite a bit. I thought it was better than the second for the reason that the re-used jokes were given a good twist. I thought the Goldmember character could have been better. Mini Me was great, especially when being beaten. There could have been a little more of Fat Bastard too. Still, the tradition stays alive.

In the tradition of the "favorite article of clothing" topic, am I alone in really really really wanting to be able to shop in that movie? The clothes, the cars, the ascots and ties, the glasses...I want to live in that movie. Set wise and costume wise it was way over Spy Who Shagged Me.

Maybe I don't get the joke. The first Austin Powers was good, not great, but a good idea. I found the second one funny at times. However I'm boycotting the third. Over-saturation? I don't know, I'm just tired of dick and fart jokes being the par for the course. Not specifically jokes about penises and flatulence, just the whole genre of films that appeal to the lowest common denominator.

I hate that type of humor too but, come on, there are scab jokes and jokes about the Dutch in Goldmember too!! I guess it's easier for me to take fart jokes from a 60s British Swinger than from a frat guy. Actually, I don't "guess," I know.

I found it somewhere on the continuum between disgusting and hilarious, but I guess that's to be expected. Goldmember, however, was a complete waste of a character. Yuck.

I'm pretty sure that Matthew Sweet has been in Ming Tea since the very first Austin Powers.

I went to see the sneak preview of Goldmember and was expecting disappointment. I am a huge fan of the first two movies and every other project that Mike has participated in; however, I thought Goldmember would be repetitive and lame because of the stupid mole jokes in the trailers. I could have done without that and Fat Bastard, whose humor is not abundant enough to override his disgusting appearance. (I did enjoy the neck/vagina comparison though). But, other than that, I loved it. I thought it was extremely funny. The highlight for me was the opening sequence.

I saw this movie tonight with the infamous LW. I, too, like the neck/vagina comparison. I just started laughing out loud as soon as he said that. Next, I like the beginning and end of the movie with the stars as characters. Oh how I love Kevin Spacey...and Danny Devito as Mini-me. That was funny stuff.
OH! And, they blew up Britney Spears' head. AWESOME. I leaned over and told LW that blowing up her head could never be a bad thing. I knew those Pepsi commercials were for something.

OK...so I saw it this afternoon. There were some really funny parts, but overall I was underwhelmed. Yes, I liked the first two. No, I was not expecting a Scorsese film. I just thought it relied too heavily on rehashing jokes from the first two movies (I know that's what Meyers was going for, but it just wasn't...funny). Beyonce? Um, considering all an Austin Powers girl has to do is wear skimpy outfits and wag her breasts at the camera, I guess she did okay.

Yes, that was definitely Matthew Sweet. And wasn't the girl in that band Susanna Hoffs?

Hmm probably. Her husband, Jay Roach, has directed all three movies. It's also why she has been on all three soundtracks.
