Mad Men
« on: April 10, 2009, 12:48:23 AM »
Anyone else obsessed with this show?

I watched all of season one (which my mom got for Christmas) over the course of like, three days during the winter break. Obsessed. I want season two to come out quick, or I need to find a place to download it.

SPOILER?

Don't really get how the identity theft bit plays in overall. Maybe it'll make more sense when I see the second season.

I got season 1 on Bluray for Christmas, and I've still only had the chance to watch the first episode.  That's sad.  I think I'm really going to like it if I can ever get around to watching the rest...

Susie, or Sadie, or, what names are we supposed to use? It's been so long. Anyway, the sets and costumes are gorgeous. You'll be in vintage heaven. Sure, the characters and all that are swell too.

But the clothes.

The clothes.

I'm already getting sick of typing "Pelham".  And, yeah I'm really anxious to see more interiors.

I think the Pelham thing is done once you hit five posts, right TF? And the dad from "Clarissa Explains It All" is in a couple episodes, if I remember right. I'm so anxious to see season two I might re watch season one again.

That's correct.  She won't have to enter it anymore.

After Mad Men won a bunch of awards, I decided to check it out.  I watched both seasons several months ago.  Good stuff.  I found parts of it to be really funny... especially when they highlight the cultural changes that we've experienced since the 1960's.  My particular favorite is when the children are running around with plastic dry cleaning bags on their heads and no one seems concerned.

I don't like the main guy's wife.
Grass stains, airplanes, anything and everything...

Yeah, I find her just kinda annoying at times. Also....it's just creepy to think that my mom watches this show and loves it, and has therefore seen the main guy's wife pleasure herself on a washer dryer.

Anyone know where I can watch this online? Tried surfthechannel.com and it seems too complicated. All the links had either foreign subtitles or wouldn't let me into the site. And no Hulu either.

In another thread, you mentioned that you're into BitTorrent now.  That means you can watch TV in the only sensible manner!  Just go to eztv.it and then thank me later.  You can download all the shows you want (as long as you have hard disk space)... including Mad Men.
