Digsy, you gonna be there? Do you think dontstaylong will come? :phear:

Do they still play see you through?
you're everybody's second home
always trying to get me alone
an easy way to lose it all
always there when all else fails
over by the west side rails

I WILL be there. Will try to get as many people as I can think of to go. Do we have to buy tickets beforehand?

Is this going to just be a convo between us?

the venue webpage says tickets are 8 dollars, but the features' listing says 10 advance, 12 day of show. it might be best for me to get my ticket in advance. also, the venue space doesn't look too large. the unfortunate part is that the venue's payment option isn't set up for the show, so we have to trek to the les to get the tickets.

Pianos is pretty small. I'd compare it to The End. Maybe a little smaller.
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Pianos BLOWS.  The performance room is tiny, and when I was there all the opening bands piled their gear up in one corner--making even less room.  Bring $6.50 if you want a budweiser in a bottle, also!
Parrish was the circus.

I'll be there. Every time I've been to Pianos I've just paid when I got there, but who knows. If anybody's buying tix ahead of time, count me in and I'll get you back.

I hate the End.  It's an awkward setup.  And everytime I went, the bathroom door didn't lock.
Yeah! We'll call it "Freedom"! I like that. But "freedom" rhymes with "weefrom," like "Weefrom the land of rock!" What? It's good!

Live Action Digsy Update:  There is an old guy there selling blinking light necklaces to crowd members.  New roadie?
Oh my God, we're back again.

Stares were certainly elicited. Awesome show. I'm sure Digsy has the setlist tattooed to himself by now and can fill in with those kinds of details. Fotos located here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/davisc/.

Setlist, not in order.

Circus
The Way It's Meant To Be
Me & The Skirts
Exorcising Demons
Whatever Gets You By
The Drawing Board
Foundation's Cracked
GMF
Temporary Blues
Lions
**NEW SONG** Can't remember much about it, except the verses are sparse. I knew what Matt was singing, but after the rest of the night, I had forgotten. Great song.
Gates Of Hell
Mosis Tosis

So awesome to see them again after almost two years. Nothing makes me happier! Decent crowd filled with people singing along. That's good. I finally own a physical CD copy of SKOS, which is good too.

Did it have the lines "I've been looking for a _____"? April and I tried our best to make out the lyrics to that song but that's as far as we got. Anyone else know anything about it?

mark plays a pretty badass part during the "new" song. lots of syncopation. don't know if that helps.

the show was absolutely amazing.  i completely shook my ass off and then forced myself to keep the night going until morning. awesome.

Does he say "reason?"  Or, "never gave me any reason??"  I think that song is going by "Rambo."  That song is amazing.  Especially the keyboard.  Glad so many old school fans were able to go support them.

I remember thinking "Is this song kin to 'Stagecoach?'" when I heard it.  It's possible that I was basing the entire comparison on a couple of words though.  And I can't even remember which words.  IRRELEVANT!

Yup that's it! Good song, and I love the non sequitor names these songs get.

I suppose I should have figured that there were some former (and as I now know, current) message boarders in that crowd. I was certainly struck by how many folks seemed to know all of the words. It was my first show in over three years, and as such it was amazing.
You may like grandma's yard gnomes, but I've seen Rock City. Remember it.
