Happy Memorial Day!

Right? Is that the phrase, "happy Memorial Day"? It's not "merry Memorial Day," right? Or I guess no one says either. ANYWAY, what are you guys up to this weekend?

I drove a carload out to a friend's parents' place on Long Island on Saturday for a pool party barbecue day, that was bookended by a trip to the big mall before and a dinner at Chili's after. It was amazing. It's crazy how much like Tennessee that part of Long Island looked like, but I guess it really just looked like nondescript suburbs with malls and chain restaurants. Still, it was very pretty and quaint. It's also crazy that just a half hour out of NYC it can look that different.

Yesterday was a big picnic in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, with the big improv comedy scene.

And now today, when I have no plans, the actual holiday...I'm watching "Jon & Kate Plus Eight." yeesh.

My pool opened Saturday, and I've been working, so I don't get to enjoy the pool until Wednesday.  My wife spent all say Saturday there and Will probably spend most of the rest of the day there.  I'm so jealous.

i spent a lot of the day at lowe's and home depot.  i like making plans to move, but i hate actually doing it.

last night i went to iwe's house.  there were eight dogs there!  it was awesome.
