user name is thekeifer. what's yours?

I have lots of games. Been playing lots of Killzone 2 lately. Also have all the fake instrument games (except metallica), saints row 2, the CoD games, GTA4, and a few others that I don't have in front of me right now. Oh, and a few PSN games including Wheel of Fortune. Always up for a good Wheel of Fortune game.

Keith what's your PS3 user name and what games you got?
I TOTALLY AGREE!

Why do I feel like I've just picked up the crack pipe again?

Peace Frog here. In the last few years I've bought into a company with two partners, and bought each one out over the last two years. I now own Gamma Blast (folded Peace Frog Productions into the mix) right in the heart of Music Row (www.gammablast.com). The Peace Polliwog is now 4 1/2 and like Sina's kid, a bonafide math genius (he was explaining the concept of infinity to me just this evening). I also have a 9 1/2 month old son that keeps me on my toes.

I still have regular contact with Rory, and we still talk about doing a Features video "one of these days".

The craziest thing is that my oldest is obsessed with The Features. He found a copy of SKOS that Rory had given me and immediately took it for his own collection. He's a huge music fan and likes to rank drummers (seriously, don't ask). He has Rollum ranked number 2 behind Dave Grohl and ahead of Meg White (so he's 4!). I took him to Grimey's in store and he had a blast. He was awestruck and I became an instant hero to him when Rollum came up to me to say "hi". He could not believe I knew The Features. To him they are a band in a regular rotation of Weezer, Nirvana, White Stripes, REM, Pixies and The Beatles. He was heartbroken, actually cried on the way home, because the only song they didn't play was his favorite, "Wooden Heart".

I don't get out as much as I'd like and rarely get out to see live music unless its for work. I miss the old days a bit, but have fun reliving them with Drake as he scrolls the iPod and listens to Features songs that are permanently ingrained in my head.

I have a PS3 as well... Ben Slack has either deleted me or we keep opposite schedules, because I never see him online.

I haven't deleted you, Peace Frog!  Keith, I'm always up for some Rock Band 2.  We picked up Buzz time trivia recently, and have been having a blast with that.  My username is benslack.  I have been thinking about downloading Wheel of Fortune, so maybe I'll just do it this weekend.

My update is as follows:  I retired from the local music scene after seeing the dark side a year or so ago.  Maybe I'll get back into it soon.  I haven't seen the Features in a LONG time.  I need a good Features show.  I miss their old sound, with Parrish's organs but I still think they're great.

I work in Nashville and we just bought a house in Murfreesboro.  It's a 1957 mid-century modern style house that only had one amazing owner.  We feel like it was destined to be ours, since we're going to keep it true to it's 50's glory days.  It's on 2 acres of land, so this spring has been mostly spent doing yard work.  It's crazy how much we still have to do.  LOTS OF TREES.  It's almost like we bought a farm!  But, it will be worth it when we get everything in order.

Nothing else too major here.
Parrish was the circus.

Yup, Carson. There are pics of him in my Facebook photos. We spent a good 20 minutes this morning opening and closing the dog's crate. I think he thinks I'm stupid. "Doggy night night." is all he'd say and open and shut it. Then look at me like "Get it?"

Say whaaat?

Okay, now that I'm unemployed, I will definitely be in TN sooner rather than later and I expect a full tour. Two acres? That's insane!

It felt like an appropriate time to transition from HaveSomeSoma.

I graduated from MTSU in Decemeber with a B.A. in Spanish.  Looked for a job and all I could come up with was one in Customer Service for Verizon Wireless.  No complaints, though, as hopefully it will be a fine place to work while I figure out what the next step will be (maybe school, maybe adventures in baking).  I also have done some stuff with YEAH and Southern Girls Rock and Roll Camp (if anyone wants to volunteer I can point you in the right direction).

I still like Murfreesburtle.  I still pal around with iwe, sadie, ben*slack, ghostflower, etc.  And I have sweet sweet dreams of digsy, ray davies, deathscherbert and damon every night, where there are never states between us.

I am happy to know everyone is well.
Oh my God, we're back again.

Well, actually, maybe I'll plan a trip home around the next time they play Murfreesboro or Nashville. That is entirely doable. It will be nice to freak out to the band with people...and not all alone.

The Peace Polliwog sounds awesome!  Must take after his mom....

My exceptional moderating skills are currently being put to use on a popular Chicago-based music festival messageboard.

I've been trying to use my influence to have The Features booked at the fest, but so far my requests have fallen on deaf ears.  Maybe this year...

In the past 3 years, I lost my job, found a new one, got two cats, quit my job, found a new one, got married, got promoted, kicked ass.

I also have a PS3, but I don't play it much.  I enjoy my Xbox 360 much more.
Yeah! We'll call it "Freedom"! I like that. But "freedom" rhymes with "weefrom," like "Weefrom the land of rock!" What? It's good!

Man, someone's kicking life's ass! Congrats on those last four items!
