I guess the question is whether or not there'd be a need for any more films after this.

Check this out.

Green Lantern Trailer

I know that Capt. Kirk himself (Chris Pine) is close to being Hal Jordan, and Marc Guggenheim is writing it. At least that's the last news.

I never followed DC Comics, so Green Lantern is kinda foreign to me. But I think it's about time DC started doing all their heroes right, like they've done with Batman.

Unfortunately, it looks like Pine is now unlikely because there are two more Star Trek films planned, the first of which is pretty much going to parallel to Green Lantern's filming schedule. The most likely lead right now is Sam Worthington, from Terminator Salvation.

But it's going to have Kilowog, so who cares who plays Jordon.

I never actually saw this. A reliable source said that character motivations were non-existent and that, to me, makes for the worst sort of film. Meh.

I'd meant to ask you about this film, FT, since you were so excited about it a couple of years ago.  Green Lantern was my favorite character on Super Friends, but I haven't seen this movie either.

Super Friends was the best. There was a tie-in a comic back in the day, which had this disturbing scene:

Oh, Zan, you whore.
