Rambo

This is my new favorite Features song, and I hope to god it makes it onto an album, or at least they play it long enough for me to hear it live again.  I found a recent video of it:

The Features - Rambo 8/28/09

Anyone know anything about this or have any clear recordings?

I just realized I should have posted this in the 8/28/09 Main Street thread, since this was recorded there.  There doesn't seem to be a way to edit or delete posts unless I'm just not seeing it.

No problem at all, Seņor Fire.  "Rambo" is such an awesome song that it certainly deserves its own thread!

I also noticed that the same guy who posted the "Rambo" video on YouTube (kporcupinepuffer) also posted a video for the new song "Golden Comb."

Wow, awesome! Looks like I now know what today's "Damage is Done" song is...

I can't begin to explain ho hard I love this song.  I got chills the first time I heard it at Mercy Lounge a couple months back.  I think it was their first time playing it.  Holy shit, that's a good jam.

Thanks, Carl.  It's posts like that that ensure this one won't be on any future album.

You know they read this.  And you know they base their decisions on what to never play again based on what songs we like the most. :phear:

Sorry, Juan.

Clearly it was my love for Someway, Somehow (and frequent requests) that killed any chances of hearing it live shortly after Exhibit A was released.

Has anyone been able to make heads or tails of the lyrics yet?  Like many new songs, Matt doesn't seem to be confident enough in yet to really sing the lyrics and sort of mumbles through them.

I can't make out a single word.  This doesn't surprise me though.  I have a soundboard recording of "Foundations Cracked" long before it had the title or lyrics, during which Matt literally sings gibberish.  I took this as proof that he doesn't have to have lyrics before debuting a song.  It's funny and uncanny that he can do that.  Rambo may have lyrics by now, but I don't know them.

I'm pretty sure he has lyrics, he's just getting comfortable singing the song as usual.  There's definitely something about him never giving any reason or giving any rhyme at the beginning.  Then, I think there's something about leaving and I'm pretty sure he's rhyming rhyme with time.
